Discovery

We took some photos of the construction in Room 1. They were making telescopes and rocket ships.












This is what it looked like through some of their telescopes.
Next we went to Room 3 where people were painting.












Finally we went to the quiet room.

Week 4 discovery

Today we have been taking photos of discovery.
In the music room they had made some tents. People were in the tents with torches and some people playing music and getting dressed up.
In the Hall people were throwing beanbags and balls and playing together.
Some children were baking crater cookies in the kitchen. They were chefs.

More discovery...

Today we took a few picture of the construction, art and quiet rooms. In the construction people were making spaceships and rockets and even a Mars Rover. In the art room people were making alien masks and spaceships in sparkly space. In the quiet room, there were lots of different toys to play with. Some people were making farms, some were playing with Lego and other were playing shops.

Discovery

Discovery is fun because we can do lots of good activities. We have been taking photos on the iPads to show everyone what we do at discovery.
In the kitchen some children are baking crater cookies. Some children are in the hall playing with the sports equipment. Others are making music.

Writing workshop with Patricia "Fabulous" Bernard

Today we have gone to a workshop with the Australian author Patricia Bernard.
She has been telling us about her job as an author and shared one of her books "Duffy" about her dog and how he had an invisible crocodile in the washing machine, who ate all his clothes!

She told all of us that we have a magical middle name that helps us be a great writer. Her magical middle name is fabulous. She has told us how we can make our own fabulous stories. She is very funny. We have laughed lots and lots.
